A lot of people when they joined up (Me especially!) said something along the lines of "Hey, I'm X. Nice to meet you!"
Which, realized too late is kind of bad in a way...because we never really get a chance to know each other and what we're about.
And then I realized I'd accidentally managed to turn Robofriday Kurozuki and a few others into one person in my head...D'oh!
So this a thread to learn about each other and our different interests.
Share as much about yourself you'd be comfortable sharing, Ask questions, comment...but most importantly...
I figure we're going to be spending a lotta time talking to each other, So its always nice to know who you're talking to.

Here's everything you never wanted to know about Idealistic!
Alright, First things first I do a lot of drawing.
Mostly people, But but I do occasional animals or creatures. Been drawin' stuff for as long as I remember.
I don't have anything really =impressive= I could show you because I've only just started to take the whole
'art' thing more seriously. I'd definitely be pretty happy if I could develop my skill to a point where
I could live off it.
Trouble is I guess there a million other 'artists' who are thinking the same thing huh?... .__.
They don't have a NAP do they?
I'm also really into diet and excerise, and I'm currently training
to run a Tough Mudder event sometime next year. This has been very tricky since I've pretty much
gone straight from having zero physical fitness to expecting myself to run an obstacle course.
I do a lotta stuff like heartrate variability training to try and squeeze the most performance out of myself,
Mentally and physically. Mostly because I beleive that as long as we're in this life we might as well strive
to try and make the absolute best of ourselves. Know what I mean?
Theres a reputation that the artsy types are stupid, That may be so, But I strive to be a high performance
individual with what little intelligence rattles around up here.
Lesse...what else... I'm teaching myself coding in my spare time.
Personality wise, I'd like to describe myself as passionate or something thereabouts (And also hope that most
people don't read "Passionate" as "Overly Zealous and kind of a nutbar.") I don't like backing down from situations
I feel I'm right, and fight tooth and nail if I feel myself or someone else has been wronged.
If I had a weakness in particular it'd probably be that I push myself too hard a lot of the time. With my art
and fitness I frequently find myself frustrated that I'm not improving as fast as I'd like to be.
In the future, an issue is going to be learning to curb the violently drastic expectations I put on myself, and occasionally others.
...that's the fun though. There's always an aspect of ourselves that's worth working on.
But yeah, That's everything. I look forward to -actually- getting to know about you guys and read what you're all about.

..Hey. I never said it had to be a useful special skill.
Getting to Know You
Re: Getting to Know You
At the era of Facebook and Twitter and website and discussion forums where anyone can know everything about another person just by Googling her, I decided to do the opposite, closing my FB account (that pissed many people ) and stopped updating my Twitter account.Idealistic wrote:I look forward to -actually- getting to know about you guys and read what you're all about.
I also try to keep as best I can my personal life, personal so if you want to tell the world who you are, fine with me but don't expect me to reply to that sort of thread, sorry.
Good luck with it and I'm not stopping others who want to share though.

Oh absolutely I value my privacy too. You'll notice I didn't give out my name, age or location. There's nothing googable but I figure it'd be nice for others to know what type of people they spend their time with.Merlin wrote:At the era of Facebook and Twitter and website and discussion forums where anyone can know everything about another person just by Googling her, I decided to do the opposite, closing my FB account (that pissed many people ) and stopped updating my Twitter account.Idealistic wrote:I look forward to -actually- getting to know about you guys and read what you're all about.
You're actually kind of face value like that which is pretty cool. It's obvious what you're getting when you decide to sign up for 'Merlins world' isn't it?
