I think I'll watch it if I have nothing else to do. Which I probably won't since it's looking like it's gonna thunderstorm here tomorrow.

Welp easy win in 14 seconds for Rousey.
I feel bad for people who paid to watch such a short main event
On another note, this video made my day

I thought about the same thing. You blink and it's over and you paid 100s if not 1000s for this???xcfastdude wrote:Welp easy win in 14 seconds for Rousey.

I read before the fight that the problem with Rousey is that she never goes over 1 round so UFC doesn't like it very much and now at 14 seconds, UFC will be scratching their head because now, NOBODY will go see her and pay all this $$$.
I mean, when the TV ad last longer than the fight itself, that says it all.

Yeah one of my facebook friends had a suite at the fight. I was like wow they must've felt ripped off.
I doubt we'll see her as the main event again anytime soon. But I could be wrong.

I don't know if it's only Rousey or if girl fights are short in general. I think they have the strength to last 5 rounds but I'm not sure.xcfastdude wrote:Yeah one of my facebook friends had a suite at the fight. I was like wow they must've felt ripped off.

If ladies fights last 1 round on average, then people won't come back unless you put maybe a male championship contender fight for 2nd main event.
I mean come on, pay $700 for example, for a fight that last less than 14 seconds, that's $50 per second or $3,000 per minute or $180,000 per hour. Only trading pays more than this.

Geez when you put it like that, that's pretty insane!
I was watching one of under cards that also was a chick fight and it lasted longer. It's just that Rousey is too good right now. If anything, she should have her fights as a co-main event for a male title fight like you said. People like quick knockouts and stuff but not when it's the main fight that they paid to see.

So Merlin you excited for the Mayweather Pacquaio fight on May 2nd? It's finally happening.
Supposed to be the richest fight in boxing history.

Re: Any UFC and Boxing fans here?
I'm betting on Mayweather (not in any casinos, just like with friends and family).
He's just too good a defensive fighter. I know people hate him a lot but his defense is amazing to watch. Pacquiao is gonna get frustrated and not be able to land as much as he is accustomed to. However, he'll do enough to make it interesting and will win 4 or 5 rounds and maybe wobble Mayweather once or twice. I see it being a very close, technical fight, and it will be a controversial split decision win for Mayweather.
However, I'm rooting for Pacman to win but I've learned the hard way never to bet with your heart, only your head. I made money off the Super Bowl that way
An interesting outcome I've thought a lot about is that it ends in a draw, which would spur a second fight happening and even more money to be made.
